These lights have some heft - the shade is about twice as substantial as I was expecting. The overall impression is of simple, timeless quality. While we haven't installed these yet (we're in the middle of a kitchen/dining room renovation), I am certain that they will look perfect with our "farmhouse-meets-IKEA" style: natural alder wood Shaker-style cabinets, stainless fridge and stove, black dishwasher, and painted wood floor (burnt orange).
It's a nice light. The leather strap looks great, and it's pretty unique.
This is a beautiful light, really good value for the money, our electrician installed it quickly, well-made, clean lines. A few other reviews mentioned that the cord would not straighten out but ours straightened out within a day. But I wish I had paid more attention to the the cut-out in the top of the light - it's not super obvious from most of the photos but quite a bit of light shines out from that cut-out and for me the glare from it is annoying.
